The Mark Price Shooting Lab is a state-of-the-art program designed for basketball players of any skill level to come to improve their shooting ability. The system focuses on the fundamental mechanics of the shot, the same mechanics that made Mark Price one of the best shooters to play the game of basketball, and combines it with advanced technology to apply those techniques in order to achieve maximum results. During Summer 2009, Mark worked in the Shooting Lab with first time NBA All Stars, Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks and Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics to improve their shooting techniques. The results of those sessions and Bruce Kreutzer's work with a Andres Sandoval from the Dominican Republic National Team were recently featured in the New York Times. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (SHOOTING LAB – 5 SESSION PACKAGE)
- Will Mark Price conduct the training sessions?
Mark will train some of our elite and pro athletes, but most athletes will not train with Mark. Our professional shooting instructors do utilize the philosophy, techniques, and drills that made Mark Price one of the best shooters to play the game. - Besides Mark Price who are the other shooting instructors?
Our shooting instructors are full-time professional coaches with years of experience teaching shooting at various levels. Click here for Bruce Kreutzer's bios. - Where is the Mark Price Shooting Lab?
The shooting lab is located in a dedicated space in Suwanee Sports Academy just off our 3-court side. The space and state-of-the-art technology make for an ideal learning environment. - How will my Shooting Lab experience benefit me as a player?
We will not lie and tell you that we can make you a great shooter in five one hour sessions. Becoming a great shooter takes a lot of time and practice ALONE! We are confident that we can get you on the right path by giving you the tools to use so that when you do practice, you work on the right things using proper shooting techniques. - What is the minimum age for athletes to participate in the Mark Price Shooting Lab?
We will work with athletes 10 years and up. - What is the athlete to coach ratio?
We never have more than two students per coach and in some circumstances the ratio is one coach per athlete. - How will I know I have improved?
Every athlete goes through a multi-step evaluation process during their first and fifth session in the lab. At the end of both sessions you will receive a three phase personal evaluation, arc analysis, and video footage. The pre and post evaluations should give you a good idea of how much improvement you have made. - I have heard about some of the technology being used to teach shooting, what does the Sports Academy use?
Dartfish, Noah, and The Gun are just a few of the tools we will use. - What can I do between sessions to work on what I have learned?
After each session your shooting instructor will give you an individual workout plan to take home and work on by yourself. This is an important part of the Shooting Lab curriculum and critical for improvement. - I am in the middle of my season, should I sign-up for a shooting package now or wait until the season ends?
It depends- when in doubt always consult your school coach. Teaching proper shooting is a very complex and individual process. For higher level athletes altering your shot in the middle of the season is not always a good idea. For questions specific to your situation please contact us. - Can I purchase additional sessions?
Yes, once you have completed a five session package you can purchase additional one hour refresher sessions at a discounted price. - How can I get started?
You can register online by clicking here. Once you have registered you will receive two e-mails. The first e-mail will confirm that we have received your registration and the second email, which will arrive no later than the second business day, will provide you instructions for scheduling your first training session. - I am interested, but would like more information?
