My Sport, My Coaches
Our coaches have a passion for working with kids and usually have a background in competitive sports. This makes them great mentors as they relate their own experiences and the lessons they learned through sports to each child. Our coaches also follow a curriculum grounded in our philsophy to introduce kids to many sports and activities in a way that is fun and rewarding.

Jim Cooper, Director

- Over 25 years as a public school Physical Education teacher
- Current Physical Education teacher at Shakerag Elementary
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Central Florida University
- 5 years as Assistant Football Coach at McNair Jr. High
- 6 years as head Crew Coach at Emory and Georgia Tech Universities
- Served in the United States Army & received the Good Conduct Medal

Tara Keltner, Assistant Director

- Graduate of Buford High School
- BA Psychology from Piedmont College
- Played four years of basketball at Piedmont College
- 2002 Great South conference champions
- Named 2002 Great South Conference Player of the Year
- NCAA Division III 3rd team All American
- Joined Suwanee Sports Academy November 2010
